Voting Day!

We are excited for our student Amena who became a U.S. citizen this summer and voted for the first time today, accompanied by her teacher Karen! We are grateful to Amena's community of support, including our citizenship tutor Nancy, teachers Carrie, Deanna, Melissa, Yasmine, Susan, Rajaa, Rosen, Manal, Aaida, Elena, Dana, and more!) who nurtured her 3 wonderful children while she studied, and Karen, Anna, and Caroline who taught her English and citizenship these past three years. Amena is one of at least five of our students who recently became citizens and voted today!
