"Our success in teaching and learning languages, of course, is directly tied to the community being formed and nurtured in our school. Isn't this the most basic reason we learn language - to communicate with and connect with others? Our students want to learn English in order to go about life in the United States. But even more fundamentally, I think, they want friendship and connection and closeness with the ones they love. And this is something we all want - and what makes our work in Clarkston such a joy."
